The thousand dollar egg

One of Jack and Lori’s hens layed her first egg on Wednesday December 12th! That’s 12/12/12, a significant day to say the least. Clearly not the end of the world on McCaskill Street – rather the coming full circle of the great chicken adventure Jack and Lori embarked on last spring.

Upon finding the egg, they were beside themselves giggling, they said. Lori joked that Jack called it “the $1000 dollar egg,” what with the huge initial output of time, food, supplies, labour, love, and energy they have given. Feast your eyes on the $1000 egg!

  1. Don’t you just love that first egg! Doesn’t matter how much it cost 🙂
