Vic West’s first community garden. Created in 2004 converting a garbage dump area in a gravel parking lot to an organic garden with nine raised allotment beds, common beds and planters for perennial fruits and veggies, shared 3-bin compost, picnic table and benches for visitors, and urban barn for tools.
Rayn or Shine Gardeners are dedicated to growing organic fruits and vegetables year round. Our gardens may be small but we grow a large variety of healthy food for our families.
The public is welcome to sample from the community bed alongside the sidewalk or step inside the garden to see what’s growing.
